Is microchanneling safe for Black and brown skin?
Yes. It is one of our go-to collagen treatments for melanin-rich skin because it works without heat, which lowers the risk of triggering new dark spots compared with aggressive heat-based resurfacing. We screen every client at the consultation and adjust your treatment to your skin and your concern.
What is the difference between microchanneling and microneedling?
Traditional microneedling uses a pen of needles moving rapidly in and out of the skin. ProCell uses ultra-fine filaments that create uniform micro-channels with less trauma, so the skin typically calms down faster. Both build collagen. We prefer microchanneling for skin of color because it is gentler on the skin barrier.
Will microchanneling help my acne scars?
Yes. Rolling and boxcar acne scars and pitted texture respond well to a series of sessions, because each one stimulates new collagen. Very deep scarring may need a medical procedure as well, and we will tell you that honestly at your consultation.
How many sessions will I need?
